During a business trip in Japan, more precisely during a transfer between Tokyo and Kyoto, that we discovered the concept of luggage management takkyubin.
In Japan, no one carries their luggage around with them!
When we check out, we leave our luggage at the reception. They will be transferred so that we retrieve them at the end of the day at our next accommodation spot.
Without our luggage, we enjoy our last day to visit the Japanese capital, take our train hands in the pockets and, as planned at the arrival at our hotel in Kyoto, our luggage are in our room.
